Final bridge budget

This morning, I was kinda late due to the buses lack of timing, and I missed most of the them of their performance of their design bridge.
I made it just in time, and it was a good thing I kept it in class while I brought my own bridge. Both of my bridges are under budget.

I was the last person to bring my bridge, and it seems that my bridge was about to fall because  of the mental platform.

My bridge has finally fallen, and it was a good thing that I did not get disqualified.

As the result the one who made it to the top was Ken. Congratulation!

Engineering Economics, solving problems, build a bridge budget, and final exam is coming

This morning less people came to class.

Today we are doing a Engineering Economics again, and we are solving the cash flow diagrams that involves two alternative.
A is on the top, and B is on the bottom.

Next, he drew the numbers to input the formula.

Then we tried to solve by calculating of B.

Finally, finding the difference that has the cheaper.

 second problem.

 Third problem.

Last  problem of X and Y

Solving the problem of X and Y.

For this activity, we have to build a bridge individual and this time it is a budget of $500,000.
Each piece of spaghetti costs $5,000.

Each glue stick costs $100,000.

Each Popsicle stick costs $100,000.

If you are over budget, then you may borrow money to purchase additional bridge supplies but the money must be paid back over the life of the bridge (30 years) at a rate of 8% compounded annually. In addition to a completed bridge next week, you must include a spreadsheet of all the materials used, the cost for those materials and the total cost to finance your bridge over the 30 years.

For the finals, there is going to be 8 questions, and some bridges to be destroyed.

The previews is in the Edmodo

It starts next week Wednesday at 7:30 - 10:00 A.M.

Engineering Economics, Excel 3, and destroy bridge project

This morning he discuss about cash flow diagrams and compound interest.

Solving problems

Formula of P=principle, I=interest rate, N=Years or month, F=future value, and A=annual

Using the Excel difference of simple and compound interest.

Minimum monthly payment of $50 per month.

Minimum monthly payment of $100 per month.

Testing the bridge my is 57.8 g, and it contains 70 pieces in them.

Recording of the compressor of my bridge.

After compressing my bridge, it did not destroyed

Here is the result: me and Erick did not make the cut because we have been disqualified.

My bridge was alright, but one of my support was damage but just a minimum.

Parts, Matter, density, compress, metal, and bridge 2

Today, we began to look inside the robot's part of materials.
The five proprieties of Matter.
The difference of a egg that float or not is because of the density.
 The ruler has more durable.
The difference of a diving board was made of fiber glass, and the other has less elastic because

of the gravity itself.

We began testing the spaghetti that holds against 1/2 kg each time before it breaks by stacking

that can up to 10-40 pieces of spaghetti.

This gentleman demonstrate of how to compress a egg by crushing it with two hands.

The 5 properties of mental.

The strength of the sponge on the green side has more durable and dense, and
the other side has more elastic.

Steel bar can be place by reinforce the concrete from the near bottom.

Next, we began to build a bridge with 40 pieces of spaghetti and two sticks of hot glue, so we can test the bridge that can support 50 grams in the center over a span of 18 inches.

Our bridge is still support 50 grams,  and it did not break.

As a result, we made it to 19".
